Factors Influencing the Gestational Age at Initiation of Antenatal Care in A Tertiary Health Facility in South-South,Nigeria

Background: The concept of appropriate initiation of antenatal care accords for a pregnant mother and her unborn child a safe pregnancy and peripartum experience. However, the utilization of antenatal services is poor and many studies have reported a high prevalence of late booking among parturient across Nigeria. Aim: To determine the average gestational age at booking, the prevalence of late booking, and the factors influencing the gestational age at booking in Federal Medical Centre Asaba.
