Travel Choice Behavior of Fuel-Car User under Gasoline Prices Rising in China

To explore the impact of gasoline price on the travel mode choice behavior of fuel car users, the influences of psychological latent variables, personal socio-economic attributes, travel characteristics attributes, and travel mode attributes were comprehensively considered, based on the obtained travel selection data, the mixed Logit model without latent variables and the mixed selection model with latent variables are constructed, respectively. The results show that the fitting effect of the mixed selection model considering latent variables is better than that of the mixed Logit model without latent variables. In the mixed choice model considering latent variables, in addition to education and income, latent variables also have a significant influence on the travel choice of fuel car users. Meanwhile, the higher the gasoline price and the higher the public transportation service level, the higher the probability of fuel car users choosing public transportation.
