Adaptive Cruise Control Strategy Considering Millimeter-Wave Radar Error Correction in Rainfall Weather Conditions
Aiming at the safety problem of adaptive cruise system caused by millimeter-wave radar measurement error in rainy scenarios, an adaptive cruise strategy considering millimeter-wave radar error correction in rainfall weather conditions is proposed. By checking the target information of the preceding vehicle output by the millimeter-wave radar in rainy weather, the target risk information is corrected using a Kalman filter. Then, the new safe distance model based on variable time headway is built based on the radar measurement error and the adaptive cruise control strategy is built based on model predictive control algorithm. The results show that under rainy weather conditions, the adaptive cruise strategy proposed in this paper improves driving comfort, effectively ensures the safe and stable operation of vehicle, and has good anti-interference capability.
