Optimization Model of Connected-Bus Departure Schedule Based on Green Wave Speed Guidance
To address the issue that current bus priority control methods are not very applicable when intersection timing schemes cannot be changed, an optimization model of connected-bus departure schedules based on green wave speed guidance is proposed to achieve buses passing through intersections without stopping. With the aim of reducing bus travel time, an optimization model of connected bus departure schedules is built. The results show that the model proposed in this paper can make the buses pass all intersections in the route without stopping. When compared to other schemes obtained from other models, the model in this study can cut down on fuel consumption and pollutant emissions by roughly 15% when buses pass through an intersection, helping to cut down on traffic pollution and safeguard the environment.
