Research on the Optimization for Last-Mile Logistics of Fresh Food Based on the Passenger-Cargo Shared Transportation
With the popularity of online ride-sourcing and the development of the sharing economy, shared logistics transportation gained much attention in relieving the strain in the last-mile logistics. This paper focuses on the last-mile logistics of fresh food in Shenzhen, taking a new pattern of “passenger-cargo shared transportation,” which coordinates the transportation of people and goods with the same destination and time requirements simultaneously. By using the mileage-saving method combining the limit factors such as vehicle loading and time windows, compared to the “single point, single route, multiple times” transportation mode, the results show that the shared transportation mode has reduced total delivery mileage by 49%. It is verified that this model can reduce costs and improve the efficiency and flexibility of logistics transportation, providing theoretical support for the construction of urban logistics hub systems as well.
