Accessibility Assessment of Multi-Mode Public Transportation in Integrated Passenger Transportation Hub—Taking Shenzhen as an Example
As urban public transportation travel modes shift from single public transportation travel to multiple public transportation modes, it is necessary to re-evaluate the public transportation accessibility of the integrated passenger transportation hub. We take Shenzhen, China, as an example to collect Amap application programming interface (API) data of passenger travel, use an improved gravity model, and combine it with urban points of interest (POI) data to calculate the multi-mode public transportation accessibility of different hubs and analyze the influencing factors of accessibility. We find that subways have a far greater impact on accessibility than buses. Subway-bus accessibility determines the accessibility of multi-modal public transportation. Through this study, we can obtain the convenience of passengers using multi-mode public transportation networks to reach external hubs. The calculation results can provide certain guidance for the optimization of urban public transportation networks.
