Identification of Key Determinants of Bus-Stop Facility Configuration Based on Bus Passenger Satisfaction
The quality of bus-stop facilities is an important factor affecting passenger travel experience. Twelve indicators are selected from three-dimensions of comfort, convenience, and safety to construct a comprehensive passenger satisfaction indicator system. Data is obtained through a questionnaire, and SPSS software is used for testing reliability and validity. Then factor analysis is applied to identify the main factors affecting passenger satisfaction at bus stops. Results show that passengers express high levels of satisfaction regarding bus transfer convenience, ease of bus information access, and the cleanliness of bus platforms. Conversely, passenger satisfaction ratings are notably lower for factors such as bus platform size and bicycle parking convenience. Then a variation test is conducted, and results demonstrate that gender does not significantly impact passenger satisfaction scores, while age plays a more substantial role in influencing satisfaction ratings, particularly in relation to safety indicators. In conclusion, this paper puts forth practical recommendations aimed at enhancing passenger satisfaction at bus stops.
