A Knowledge Graph-Based Approach to Low Ecological Impact Route Selection

Ecological road construction plays a crucial role in safeguarding ecological security, especially in ecologically sensitive areas. Due to complex environmental conditions, selecting low-impact routes is exceptionally challenging. To address this, we proposed a knowledge graph-based approach for low-ecological-impact route selection. First, we constructed a knowledge graph of low-impact route selection cases using Neo4j database. Next, employing Python programming tools, we established an automated question-answering (Q&A) system based on the case-based knowledge graph through steps, including question categorization, question parsing, database query connection, and result generation. In the third phase, we extensively applied this methodology in route selection across regions such as Sichuan, Yunnan, Hunan, and Chongqing. The results indicated significantly improved efficiency in selecting routes in ecologically sensitive areas, with relatively lower ecological impacts. In conclusion, this paper provides valuable references and methods to mitigate engineering projects’ impact on ecologically sensitive areas.

In conclusion, this paper provides valuable references and methods to mitigate engineering projects’ impact on ecologically sensitive areas.
