Research on the Distance of Highways for Sensitive Areas and Roadbed Height Indicators of Eco-Highway Overall Plan
The damage of highway construction to the environment is increasingly evident, necessitating the consideration of ecology in the highway design phase. This study took the S0615 as an example proposing design indicators for the eco-highway overall plan and established a regression model between design indicators and eco-highway indexes, then calculated the formula inversely to determine the design indicators threshold of eco-highway overall plan. The study found that as the distance from the highway to ecologically sensitive areas increased, the decline in habitat quality decreased. The soil erosion was minimized when the embankment height was between 3 and 4 m. The threshold values of the Distance from the highway to ecologically sensitive areas, and the roadbed height, can be calculated based on regression equations when there are specific requirements for the habitat quality and soil erosion change value. These research findings can provide valuable reference for road construction in ecologically sensitive.
