Modern pharmacotherapy approaches to treating chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Part 2: Algorithms from the standpoint of current clinical guidelines

The review article contains current information on the main groups of drugs and al gorithms for their use in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Pharmacotherapy of stable COPD and exacerbations is presented. The information is based on current national and international guidelines for the treatment of COPD. Oxygen therapy, pulmonary rehabilitation and prevention methods are briefly presented. Approaches to treating a patient with signs of both bronchial asthma and COPD are given.
