Doctor-patient matching on online medical platforms with three-way conflict analysis

With the rapid development of smart health and online medical platforms, efficient doctor-patient matching has become a crucial factor affecting service quality. Traditional matching mechanisms mainly focus on patients selecting doctors, seldom considering doctors' rights to choose their patients. To address this limitation, this paper proposes a doctor-patient matching mechanism from the doctor's perspective for online medical platforms. By integrating doctors' preferences into the matching process, we aim to address conflicts that arise due to mismatched expectations. We introduce a three-way conflict analysis method to classify potential conflicts between doctors and patients during the matching process. Firstly, we employ this method to categorize doctors and patients and identify their conflict statuses. Then, for unmatched doctor-patient pairs, we utilize the identified conflict points to develop adjustment strategies that facilitate matching. Experimental results demonstrate that our model improves matching efficiency and quality with minimal adjustments, providing new insights for online doctor-patient matching mechanisms.
