AVALIAÇÃO DA TRANSPARÊNCIA E ACESSO À INFORMAÇÃO NO SETOR PÚBLICO: UM ESTUDO DE CASO NA PREFEITURA MUNICIPAL DE CABACEIRAS-PB

This study investigates the implementation of the Access to Information Law (LAI) and transparency practices in the Municipal Administration of Cabeceiras, PB. The research explores barriers and advances in implementing a transparent public management and the impact of these practices on the interaction between local government and citizens. The methodology employed combines qualitative and quantitative analysis, using questionnaires, interviews, and documentary analysis. The results show that despite municipal management's efforts, significant challenges remain in complying with the LAI, such as a lack of technological infrastructure and the need for public servant training. The study concludes that structural and training improvements are essential to ensure greater transparency and access to information in the municipality.
