Smart Charging Station Monitoring by Implemented SLAM Robot Arm and Challenges

Using Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) technology to build an autonomous electric vehicle charging station (AEVCS) is represents significant advancement in the fields of autonomous systems and smart infrastructures. In order to maximize the use of charging resources and improve user comfort, research article intends to design a 3D integrated charging station that can independently detect (AI) nearest vacant and travel to auto park. This paper's main goal is to combine robotic arm navigation, sensor technologies, and SLAM technology to build a charging base system that can map its surroundings in real time, locate itself, and make decisions on its own by using IOT. To properly map the charging station surroundings and identify available charging slots, the system combines LIDAR, cameras, ultrasonic sensors and central system uses the SLAM data to steer the vehicle to the designated unoccupied slot on a charging station and a robot arm for plug insertion, control room and mobile app use to improve public safety, cost efficiency and improve optimization of future charging base stations.
