Dispatching of Combined Heat and Power Distribution System based on Market Transactions
The broad implementation of combined heat and power (CHP) plants and energy conversion facilities is rapidly advancing energy system integration, creating both opportunities and obstacles for system operation and management. Comprehensive mathematical models and analytical techniques are essential to consider the interconnection of energy flows in multi-carrier energy systems and the strategic actions of various market participants. This paper examines the CHP distribution system from the viewpoint of market transactions. The distribution electricity market, taking into account network losses, is cleared using the nonlinear AC Optimal Power Flow (OPF) model. The power flow model is formulated as a mixed integer linear program (MILP) by polyhedral approximation of the second-order cone mode. A new optimization model which takes market clearing as a constraint to analyze the impact of consumer demand on the market is proposed. The JVPP-ADMM is proposed to improve the iteration speed of the ADMM algorithm by changing the penalty parameters and adding parallel measures. Case studies validate the efficacy of the suggested model and approach.
