Compressive Sensing based Channel Estimation Method for MIMO-OFDM Power Line Communication

Due to the complex nature of the power line channel and the interference of impulse noise, the performance of traditional channel estimation methods is limited in low signal-to-noise ratio environments. To overcome these challenges, this paper proposed a compressive sensing based channel estimation method for MIMO-OFDM PLC. Considering the sparse characteristics of the power line communication channel, the method reconstructs the sparse channel using the Orthogonal Matching Pursuit (OMP) algorithm, effectively improving the accuracy and speed of channel estimation. In MIMO systems, this method can estimate multiple sub-channels simultaneously, fully leveraging the advantages of multiple input multiple output. Simulation results demonstrate a significant performance improvement of the proposed algorithm compared to traditional methods under the same signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) conditions, validating the effectiveness and robustness of the algorithm. This study provides a new technical approach to enhance the communication quality and reliability of MIMO-OFDM PLC systems.
