Electrical Response and Energy Absorption of Surge Arresters in 35 kV Lines Under Multiple Lightning Strikes: A Simulation Study Using ATP-EMTP
35 kV line lightning arrester as an important lightning protection equipment, bear the role of absorbing and releasing lightning impact energy. Multiple lightning strikes as a common natural phenomenon, its characteristics and impact on the line arrester impact on the power industry safety protection has practical reference significance. In this paper, ATP-EMTP electromagnetic transient simulation software is used to simulate the process of multiple lightning strikes, and the electrical response characteristics and energy absorption of lightning arrester under multiple lightning strikes are studied. The results of the study have a certain guiding role and reference value for the lightning protection of 35kV lines.
