Research on Grounding Fault Location of Large Hydropower Station Generator Transformer Unit

At present, the grounding protection of the generator cannot locate single-phase grounding faults in the generator transformer unit. This article first conducts simulation analysis on single-phase grounding faults in the generator transformer unit, then introduces the fault location method through case studies, and finally conducts theoretical analysis and verification on the case of ferromagnetic resonance caused by single-phase grounding.

Abstract

At present, the grounding protection of the generator cannot locate single-phase grounding faults in the generator transformer unit. This article first conducts simulation analysis on single-phase grounding faults in the generator transformer unit, then introduces the fault location method through case studies, and finally conducts theoretical analysis and verification on the case of ferromagnetic resonance caused by single-phase grounding.
