Wind shear detection based on wind lidar
With the increasing demand for wind shear early warning in areas such as civil aviation low-altitude safety and meteorological observation, the development of a laser wind lidar for wind shear information has been realized based on the principle of laser Doppler frequency shift. This paper uses the radial wind speed data obtained from the laser wind lidar in low-altitude areas as the basic data source. Based on data preprocessing, a wind shear detection model is constructed to achieve accurate extraction of wind shear information. The laser wind lidar integrated with this wind shear detection method was tested in a typical plateau airport, and the test results showed that the wind shear detection method based on laser wind lidar achieved good results. With the crew aircraft reports as the benchmark, the wind shear hit rate was over 90%, enhancing the reliability of low-altitude wind shear early warning based on laser wind lidar.
