Development of a Bionic Massage Robot Based on the Seating Knee-Adjustment Manipulation
With the increasing number of patients with Degenerative Knee Osteoarthritis (DKOA) due to an aging society, the seating knee-adjustment manipulation has been proven to be effective in treating this condition. To meet the growing demand for treatment and reduce the workload of massage practitioners, a bionic massage robot based on seating knee-adjustment manipulation is proposed. The robot is designed structurally to mimic the range of motion of the practitioner and the mechanical data obtained from the analysis of the practitioner's manipulation technique using the manipulation acquisition system serves as a foundation for the control algorithm of the robot. Through prototype experiments and simulation tests, the bionic massage robot meets the therapeutic requirements, demonstrating stable and reliable performance.
