Nonlinear Temperature Control Based on Operator Theory for Microreactors Considering Disturbance and Interference
In recent years, microreactors, in which reactions are carried out in tiny liquid channels, have attracted attention as a next-generation chemical reaction device using the flow method. Microreactors have the advantage of faster and more efficient chemical reactions than conventional batch methods due to their large surface area per unit volume. However, precise temperature control is necessary because temperature changes in the flow path due to reaction heat can adversely affect reactions. The objective of this study is to design a control system for microreactor systems cooled by Peltier devices that is resistant to disturbances and interference, thereby achieving more robust temperature control of microreactors. A control system including a disturbance compensator will be designed based on operator theory, and its effectiveness will be confirmed through experiments. Experimental results under external thermal disturbance are also compared to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed disturbance compensator.
