An improved FCS-MPC strategy for quadratic boost converter with CPL
This paper proposes an improved finite control set model predictive control (FCS-MPC) strategy, which provides a new solution for the control of the quadratic boost converter (QBC) with constant power load (CPL) in the DC microgrids. Based on the internal model principle, the negative impedance characteristic of the CPL is embedded into MPC as a distinctive feature. Under the control of the improved FCS-MPC, the control accuracy of the output voltage is visibly improved. When the load or input changes, the robustness of the proposed strategy is significantly enhanced compared with the dual-loop PI. Meanwhile, the proposed controller is simple in design and easy to implement. The simulation verified the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.
