Power electronic electromagnetic transient simulation method based on exponential difference
In power electronic circuits, the high frequency operation and nonlinear characteristics of switching devices often lead to complex electromagnetic transient phenomena, which puts forward higher requirements for the accuracy and efficiency of simulation algorithms. Traditional numerical simulation methods, such as trapezoidal integration method and Euler method, are widely used, but numerical oscillation and error accumulation may occur when dealing with high-frequency dynamics. In this paper, a power electronic electromagnetic transient simulation method based on exponential difference method is adopted. This method introduces exponential difference approximation into the state equation of the circuit, and introduces a virtual resistor to overcome the problem that the inductance and capacitance components cannot be directly discretized, which can effectively improve the simulation accuracy in the response performance of the switching transient process. Through the simulation of basic circuit and typical power electronic circuit, the advantages of exponential difference method in reducing numerical error and improving simulation efficiency are verified.
