Multi-objective Optimization Scheduling of Coupled Systems Considering Ladder-type Ramp Rate and Flexibility Indicators
The integration of renewable energy and coal-fired power units with fast load response at the same grid connection point forms a coupled system, which is can enhance the flexibility of power generation resources in areas with high renewable energy proportions but limited flexibility. To explore the economic and flexibility benefits of retrofitted coal-fired power units in coupled systems, this paper proposes a multi-objective optimization scheduling method for wind-solar-coal coupled systems. The multi-objective optimization scheduling model is constructed with daily comprehensive power generation revenue and flexibility supply-demand matching degree as the objective functions, incorporating system operational constraints such as the Ladder-type Ramp Rate. The optimization algorithm employs a Grouped and Linked Polynomial Mutation Operator (GLMO) to enhance the algorithm’s capability to solve complex power system optimization scheduling problems with high dimensionality and intricate constraints. The feasibility of the optimization approach is validated through simulation analysis on a local grid conforming to the definition of a coupled system.
