Novel inertia control approach of Doubly-Fed Wind Turbines for Enhanced Frequency Stability
The generation side structure of the power system is undergoing a significant revolution, characterized by large-scale wind power continuously integrated into the power system. This paper proposes a influence of virtual inertia control parameters on system frequency dynamics and power characteristics of wind turbine itself. Firstly, the typical structure of double-fed wind power unit is introduced, including the operation characteristics of the unit, the control structure of the rotor side and the network side. Finally, the influence of the control parameters is tested on the frequency characteristics and power characteristics of the power system.
