A Novel Compensation Network for Resonance Conditions Independent of Coupling Coefficient with Two Outputs Modes in WPTS

Wireless power transfer (WPT) has found extensive applications in battery charging due to its unique advantages compared to traditional wired charging. To achieve efficient charging, it is essential to maintain constant current and constant voltage in battery charging mode while keeping the input impedance at a zero-angle phase (ZPA). Furthermore, it is also crucial that resonance conditions are independent of coupling coefficient (k) in WPT. Based on this, the paper proposes a novel compensation network LCLC-S that fulfills the aforementioned requirements. Using the loop current method, the resonance conditions including $\mathrm{CC}, \mathrm{CV}$, ZPA and independent of k are analyzed using the loop current method. This compensation network achieves CC with ZPA and CV with by switching the system operating frequency while the resonance conditions are independent of k both in two outputs. Finally, a simulation platform is developed to validate the input-output characteristics of CC and CV modes for the LCLC-S topology.
