Research on the Application of Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface Technology in Radar
Reconfigurabl e Intelligent Surface (RIS), as an emerging technology, has demonstrated significant potential for application in the field of radar. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the basic principles, advantages, and research on the application of RIS in radar systems. Firstly, the fundamental principles of RIS are thoroughly analyzed, along with its notable advantages over traditional technologies. Subsequently, the application of RIS in various aspects of radar systems, including target detection, parameter estimation, radar jamming and anti-jamming, and radar-communication integration, is elaborated in detail, showcasing how RIS can significantly enhance the performance of radar systems. Finally, the future development trends of RIS in the radar field are discussed, including dynamic environmental adaptability, intelligent management, low-power and low-cost designs, as well as integrated designs, and future research directions are explored.
