Design Simulation and Verification of a Key Negotiation Scheme Based on Physical Layer Noise Error Parameters in Optical Fibre Transmission Systems

In this paper, a key negotiation method based on the local noise system error parameters is proposed, where the negotiating parties use the addition of Gaussian white noise at the receiving end to encrypt the received signals, thus ensuring the randomness of the negotiated key. The negotiation method is verified through simulation and its performance is analysed. Under the condition that the mean of the noise standard deviation distribution is 0.28, the quantification coefficient is 0.3, and the segment length is 1000, its negotiation efficiency can reach more than 80%, and the agreement rate of the two parties' keys can reach more than 98%.

Abstract

In this paper, a key negotiation method based on the local noise system error parameters is proposed, where the negotiating parties use the addition of Gaussian white noise at the receiving end to encrypt the received signals, thus ensuring the randomness of the negotiated key. The negotiation method is verified through simulation and its performance is analysed. Under the condition that the mean of the noise standard deviation distribution is 0.28, the quantification coefficient is 0.3, and the segment length is 1000, its negotiation efficiency can reach more than 80%, and the agreement rate of the two parties' keys can reach more than 98%.
