Every online product, from internal enterprise applications, used at the workplace to personal apps like social media, is subject to human error. These errors are a natural aspect of human interaction with technology. No matter how intuitive or advanced the software, mistakes made by users are inevitable. These mistakes are mostly unintentional and can be costly. The percentage of error increases if a person is in a state of emotional distress. This article proposes a strategy to deny or limit access to an online product by restricting authentication. Followed by the steps to undertake after the restriction in different circumstances. These circumstances can be a work environment, everyday interactions or moments of duress.
