Traffic-Load-Aware Multipath Routing in LEO Satellite Networks
In this paper, we present a traffic-load-aware multipath routing algorithm in LEO satellite networks. The MDL algorithm has three main components: network state collection, link cost definition, and multipath routing. Network state collection builds a shared information repository and topology. Link cost calculations guide path selection. The multipath routing mechanism identifies the optimal path and an alternative one. If the optimal path faces node failure or congestion, traffic can be rerouted through the alternative path, reducing network congestion effectively. Simulation results show that it can decrease latency and increase throughput compared to baseline algorithms.
