Information gap decision theory based PV and energy storage planning considering endogenous and exogenous uncertainties

The large-scale access of distributed photovoltaic (PV) poses significant challenges to the safe and stable operation of distribution network. This puts forward higher requirements for the configuration of energy storage system. However, traditional energy storage planning only considers exogenous uncertainty unrelated to decision-making, but ignore endogenous uncertainty caused by decision-making itself. This limitation may lead to poor performance of PV and energy storage planning in dealing with uncertainties in practical operation. To address this issue, this paper firstly develops the exogenous load and endogenous price uncertainties model. Then, an information gap decision theory based energy storage planning that comprehensively considers endogenous and exogenous uncertainties is proposed. The effectiveness of the proposed model is verified on the IEEE 33-node distribution network.
