PEDAGOGICAL CONDITIONS FOR THE FORMATIONOF A PERSONALLY-ORIENTED APPROACH IN THE SELECTION OF ATHLETES (USING TABLE TENNIS AS AN EXAMPLE)

One of the most important components of a multi-year sports training system is the selection of the most capable athletes with the potential to achieve high performance. With changing demographics, high academic load on children, early specialization in many sports and increased level of sports results in general, the conceptual provisions of sports selection are changing, shifting the emphasis from ensuring the mass participation of students at the initial stage to improving the quality of the content and organization of selection activities at all stages of sports training. In the article the basic regularities and principles of building the system of selection in sport are considered, the characteristic features of selection of children on the example of table tennis are revealed.
