Cultural heritage, master plan, and the right to the city in Brazil: state of the art
Abstract The guidelines established by the City Statute mandate the guarantee of the right to sustainable cities, democratic management, and the inclusion of heritage policy in urban development planning and management. The objective of this study is to carry out state-of-the-art research, in databases, on the Brazilian academic production related to the approach to cultural heritage in municipal master plans between 2011 and 2020. Through the state--of-the-art methodology, it was concluded that there is limited academic production connecting master plans to cultural heritage.
