Los archivos de templarios y hospitalarios en Castilla (siglos XII-XV)
The historical archives of the Templars and Hospitallers in Castile have not been well preserved. Few documents from the Templar province of Castile's archives have survived. It is believed that the Templar commandery of Faro may have maintained its own archive. In contrast, the archives of the Castilian Hospitallers have been better preserved. The Hospitaller priory, or province, of Castile managed two distinct archives: one located in the church of Santa María de la Horta in Zamora and the other in the castle of Consuegra. Unfortunately, most of the Hospitaller archive in Consuegra has been lost. Some Hospitaller commanderies in Castile also kept their own archives. Among these, the best-preserved archive belongs to the commandery of Tocina, which is now housed in the parish of San Vicente Mártir in Tocina.
