Preface

As the organizing committee of the 2024 International Conference on Industrial Robotics and Advanced Manufacturing Technology (IRAMT 2024), we are delighted to present this preface to the conference proceedings, which encapsulates the key agendas and the significance of this gathering held in Chengdu, China, from September 27 th to 29 th , 2024. Industrial robotics and advanced manufacturing technology represent the pinnacle of modern manufacturing, blending disciplines such as computer science, cybernetics, mechanics, information and sensing technology, artificial intelligence, and bionics. These technologies are revolutionizing the way we produce and live, serving as critical indicators of a country’s scientific and technological innovation and high-end manufacturing prowess. In recognition of this, IRAMT 2024 aimed to bring together leading experts and scholars from around the world to discuss the latest research findings and advancements in these fields. The conference was hosted by Dongguan University of Technology, with support from Anhui University, the Manufacturing Informatization Research Center of Jiangsu University, and the Human-Machine Integration System and Intelligent Equipment Engineering Laboratory of Anhui Province. Professor Min’an Tang from Lanzhou Jiaotong University acted as the conference general chair, who holds senior memberships in IEEE, the Chinese Association of Automation, the Chinese Institute of Electronics, and the China Computer Federation. The vice-chair was Professor Libao An from North China University of Science and Technology, China, a leading researcher in multiple projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Education, and the Hebei Provincial Government. The program committee was headed by Professor Jinan Gu from Jiangsu University and Professor Wenjie Chen from Anhui University, both of whom are renowned experts in their fields. They brought with them their professional knowledge in organizing academic conference and injected new vitality and momentum into the conference, ensuring the smooth running of the conference.
