The synergistic effect of Ni and WO 2 effectively boosts the electrochemical reduction of nitrite to ammonia
Ni nanoparticles deposited on the WO 2 polyhedron self-supported Ni foam (Ni@WO 2 /NF) acts as an efficient electrocatalyst for selective NO 2 − reduction to NH 3 , offering an NH 3 yield rate of ∼17 959.3 μg h −1 cm −2 and a faradaic efficiency of ∼94.6%.
