Analysis and optimization of braking performance of 50-ton mining dump trucks

Abstract Braking performance is one of the main performances of an automobile and an important guarantee for safe driving. The quality of braking performance will directly affect traffic safety and personal safety. To solve the problem of low braking efficiency caused by the unreasonable distribution of braking force between the front and rear brakes of some mining vehicles in the current market, this paper uses the MATLAB simulation method to calculate the braking force distribution curve of a 50-ton mining automobile. By combining the adhesion coefficient and braking efficiency curve, the braking process of the automobile under certain working conditions of empty and full load is analyzed. By adjusting the braking force distribution coefficient, its braking performance is optimized. Further analysis and verification show that under full load conditions, the braking efficiency increases by 7.2%, the braking distance decreases by 3.8%, and the system performance optimization effect is significant.
