This article aimed to assess household waste management in the Nzadi neighborhood of the Limete commune. To achieve this, we conducted a descriptive cross-sectional study using systematic probabilistic sampling, which allowed us to efficiently evaluate household waste management in the Nzadi neighborhood within a short period. We employed documentation, observation, and questionnaire-based surveys as our primary techniques. The survey results revealed several weaknesses that could have adverse effects on the health and environment of the residents in the Nzadi neighborhood. A number of recommendations were made to the public authorities and the local population to address the issue of poor household waste management, which is a source of many diseases.
