GROWTH RESPONSE OF BLACK EGGPLANT (Solanum melongena L.) THE CONSEQUENCES OF GIVING CHICKEN MANURE AND RICE HUSK BIOCHAR
This research aims to obtain data regarding the effect of several doses of chicken manure and biochar on the growth of black eggplant (Solanum melongena L.). This research was carried out in Lamglumpang Village, Kuta Baro District, Kab. Aceh Besar. Starting from May to September 2021. This research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method with a 4 x 4 factorial pattern with 3 replications, so that there were 16 treatment combinations which were repeated 3 times and there were 48 experimental units. The results showed that administering several doses of chicken manure had a very real influence on the parameters of plant height (2, 4 and 6 WAP), leaf width (2, 4) and had a significant effect on leaf width at (6 WAP), but had no effect real on the number of leaves parameter. Treatment with several doses of Biochar also had a very significant effect on plant height parameters (2, 4 and 6 WAP). However, there was no real influence on the parameters of number of leaves and leaf width (2, 4 and 6 WAP). There was a real interaction between the treatment combination of chicken manure dose and biochar dose on the height parameters of black eggplant plants at 2 WAP. The best treatment was a combination of chicken manure and A3B3 biochar (225 g chicken manure/polybag and 112.5 g biochar/polybag)
