Intensive care nurses’ experiences of VA-ECMO support for systemic lupus erythematosus-related pulmonary arterial hypertension complicated with pregnancy: A case report
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is a rare disease with poor prognosis and high mortality, which also threatens the puerpera. Nursing care is focused on hemodynamic changes, timely termination of pregnancy when complications occured. This case study reports the nursing experiences of a puerpera with SLE-related PAH who treat by the venoarterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (VA-ECMO). Based on the patient's treatment method, we highlight that ECMO related care measures and pay attention to the hemodynamic changes. At the same time, pay attention to rehabilitation training and psychological support.
