Compact Dual-Band Monopole MIMO Antenna with K-Coupled Elements for 5G-NR N78 Band Applications

The paper shows a 54 × 30 ????????2 monopole dual-band multi-input-multi-output (MIMO) antenna featuring improved compactness, diversity, and isolation. In the antenna system, the 50 Ω feeding mechanism triggers the dual K-coupled 2×1 elements on 1.6 ???????? planar. It is implanted on an inexpensive and widely available FR4 substrate with ???? =4.4 ????????. The two antenna elements are to be oriented according to the recommendation made after analyzing the simulated and measured performance metrics on S-parameter and gain of a dual K-coupled single antenna configuration. Minimizing interference, insertion loss, and radiating at 3.3 GHz and 4 GHz, the two portions of the dual K-coupled 2×1 antenna construction were placed 3 mm apart. From 3.24 GHz to 3.32 GHz and from 3.9 GHz to 4.1 GHz, the radiation patterns of the suggested configuration are constant. Furthermore, the proposed MIMO antenna’s diversity performance is assessed through the use of both measured when simulated values using CST Tool for the following parameters: E.C.C., D.G., CCL, and M.E.G. This antenna is ideal for 5G-NR N78 band networks, Wi-Fi, and C-band (3.7 GHz to 4.2 GHz) satellite communication due to its insertion loss below -40 dB, average peak gain of over 5.3 dBi, and ECC below 0.003.
