Stability for systems of coupled nonlinear oscillators described by second-order ODEs with coefficient functions in Wloc1,1(0,∞)

In this paper, we investigate the stability of the null solution of different systems of differential equations describing the motion of several coupled nonlinear oscillators, in the case when its coefficient functions are in [Formula: see text]. Under assumptions more general than those from [G. Moroşanu and C. Vladimirescu, Stability for systems of coupled nonlinear oscillators, Nonlinear Anal. Real World Appl. 59 (2021) 103242], we obtain new stability results relying on classical differential inequalities and the Lyapunov’s method. Our theoretical results are illustrated with numerical simulations.

Abstract

In this paper, we investigate the stability of the null solution of different systems of differential equations describing the motion of several coupled nonlinear oscillators, in the case when its coefficient functions are in [Formula: see text]. Under assumptions more general than those from [G. Moroşanu and C. Vladimirescu, Stability for systems of coupled nonlinear oscillators, Nonlinear Anal. Real World Appl. 59 (2021) 103242], we obtain new stability results relying on classical differential inequalities and the Lyapunov’s method. Our theoretical results are illustrated with numerical simulations.
