PENILAIAN SKOR PANSS DAN WHOQOL-BREF PADA PASIEN SKIZOFRENIA DENGAN REGIMEN PENGOBATAN ANTIPSIKOTIK YANG BERBEDA: STUDI DI RUMAH SAKIT JIWA PROVINSI BALI

Schizophrenia is a complex mental disorder that affects thoughts, perceptions, emotions, and behaviors, having a significant impact on individuals, families, and health systems. This study aims to evaluate the relationship between demographic characteristics, schizophrenia subtypes, comorbidities, and antipsychotic treatment regimens with the severity of schizophrenia symptoms using the PANSS scale and the quality of life of patients using WHOQOL-BREF. The study was conducted descriptively analytically with a cross-sectional approach on 88 schizophrenia patients at the Bali Mental Hospital. The results showed that the majority of patients were in the normal PANSS category (55.7%) and had quality of life at the intermediate functioning level (58%). Gender factors and comorbidities had a significant relationship with PANSS scores, while schizophrenia subtype factors and treatment regimen did not show a significant effect. Patients without comorbidities and using a combination of more than two antipsychotics tend to have a better quality of life. These findings emphasize the importance of a multidisciplinary approach, including comorbidity management, to improve clinical outcomes and quality of life of schizophrenia patients.
