(181) MODIFIED LOCAL AND REGIONAL PUDENDAL NERVE BLOCK AT TIME OF PENILE PROSTHESIS INSERTION

Abstract Introduction The Insertion of penile prosthesis can be associated with significant post operative pain often requires significant narcotics use in patients. Several post operative pain regimens have been adapted to reduce pain in the post operative period for penile prosthesis. Objective IIn this video, we demonstrated a step-by-step technique using modifications of several local anesthetics use at time of penile prosthesis surgery including regional pudendal nerve blocks. Methods IIn this video, we demonstrated a step-by-step technique using modifications of several local anesthetics use at time of penile prosthesis surgery including regional pudendal nerve blocks. Results These local and regional anesthetics techniques can be used by urologists to improve post operative pain level in patients receiving penile prosthesis and improve overall outcomes. Conclusions These local and regional anesthetics techniques can be used by urologists to improve post operative pain level in patients receiving penile prosthesis and improve overall outcomes.
