SYNTHESIS OF 1H-PHOSPHOLANE OXIDES FROM SUBSTITUTED 1-ETHYLALUMOLANES USING PBr 3 /H2 O

A new reagent PBr3 has been proposed for the synthesis of 3-alkyl(aryl)-1H-phospholanoxides, based on the reaction of replacing the aluminum atom in 3-alkyl(aryl)-1-ethylaluminolane with a phosphorus atom using phospho- rus tribromide and subsequent hydrolysis. It was found that under the developed conditions, the yield of 3- alkyl(aryl)-1H-phospholanoxides is 64–81%, and the yield of 2-phenyl-1H-phospholanoxide does not exceed 25%.
