REALIZATION OF THE RESOURCE POTENTIAL OF THE SAKHALIN MOUNTAINEER (POLYGONUM SACHALINENSE FR. SCHMIDT NAKAI) IN THE CONDITIONS OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

The modern principle of stable development of crop production involves the introduction into culture of new types of forage plants with high winter hardiness, resistance to diseases and pests, which are a source of high- grade protein. Such a plant is Sakhalin buckwheat (Reynoutria sachalinensis, Polygonum sachalinense; Fallopia sachalinensis), a plant species of the genus Reynoutria of the buckwheat family. A perennial herbaceous plant. The rhizome is powerful and branched, penetrates deeply into the soil. The stem is straight, powerful, 2.5–3.0 m high. The leaves are oval-oblong, 15–45 cm long, the base is heart-shaped or rounded, on the underside they are pubescent with long (often more than 2 and even up to 5 mm), branched hairs. Inflorescence – axillary panicles of 4–7 flowers, which are collected in "bundles" up to 8 cm long, small bisexual flowers, perianth (corolla) yellow- ish-white funnel-shaped, with 5 pubescent lobes and pubescent pedicels; 9 stamens, shorter than a very large pis- til, the stigma of which protrudes beyond the tepals. The fruit is a triangular nut. The flowering period lasts from July to August. The flowers are bisexual, but are unable to form seeds without an additional source of pollen. The fruits are tied very late – in mid-September or even later, the seeds ripen, but germinate poorly. It reproduces mainly by fragments of rhizomes. The natural habitat is located on Sakhalin Island. Rheinuria Sakhalinskaya can form large monoid thickets. Substances with antimicrobial effects accumulate in the plant. Therefore, the species transforms plant communities, displacing native species and reducing natural biodiversity. The research was con- ducted at the Gorsky GAU Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution at the Faculty of Biotechnology. The object of the study were samples of the Sakhalin mountaineer. The mineral composition of Polygonum sachalinense has been studied in introduced samples of Polygonum sachalinense. The content of macronutrients was: Ca – 1.63mg/kg, Mg-2.82mg/kg, P – 0.27 mg/kg, K – 6177.58 mg/kg, and trace elements: Cu – 6.682 mg/kg, Fe – 191.6 mg/kg, Zn – 151.14 mg/kg, Mn – 23.44 mg/kgkg, Co – 0.14. The resource potential of the Sakhalin mountaineer (Polygonum sachalinense Fr. Schmidt Nakai), can have a positive impact on the green pipeline of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania.

The modern principle of stable development of crop production involves the introduction into culture of new types of forage plants with high winter hardiness, resistance to diseases and pests, which are a source of high- grade protein.
