Strengthening and Securing Online Business Transactions: A Study on Protecting Against Phishing Attacks and SQL Code Injection Methods Using SQLmap, Clifty and Secure Coding Practices
This case study delves into fortifying the online security of a business vulnerable to social engineering techniques such as phishing and the usage of SQL code injection in its website. Through simulation with Clifty, a comprehensive evaluation of phishing threats is conducted. It thoroughly analyzes the possible social engineering techniques the threat actor could use to gain sensitive information. At the same time, defensive strategies and proper protocols are employed to safeguard against SQL injection attacks. Additionally, SQLmap will be utilized to simulate the SQL code injection attack. The study also focuses on secure coding practices to protect the business from SQL code injection attacks. In this case study, the attacking and protection tools simulation will provide possible recommendations and proposals to businesses to strengthen their security while conducting online transactions.
