Butt or Face? Volume 2
WALK ON THE WILD SIDE“You’re reviewing this?” Frank asks me skeptically. He, however, was at the gym this morning and did not watch our second grader throw themselves into my lap for this perfectly aimed page turner celebrating biological diversity. The front of each page asks the eternal question of the title, and those readers intrepid enough to turn said page are treated to a charismatic photograph of the entire animal with some excellent and often—I am so sorry—cheeky facts. Gross jokes ensue, but they’re not particularly crass, and adaptations around mating are treated in such a way that young readers without context will remain unfazed. A true biology page-turner for ages 5 and up.
