Analysis of Crack Control Effect in Reinforced Concrete T-Beams Strengthened with External Prestressing
Abstract For urban bridges experiencing insufficient load-bearing capacity, external prestressing is a commonly adopted strengthening method. This study focuses on the crack control of reinforced concrete T-beams strengthened using external prestressing, using the Jiude Road Shengli Channel Bridge as a case study. By conducting static load tests on two main beams, we compared the strengthening effects. The results demonstrate that the method of strengthening reinforced concrete T-beams with external prestressing effectively controls the cracks in the main beams.
