The charm of chidhood in the creation of director Elena Iliaș
The history of Moldovan television preserves in its annals the names of personalities who contributed to the creation of newsrooms and televised products. Among the pioneers of the genre is the director Elena Iliaș, who was the basis of the television shows dedicated to the youngest viewers. Right from the beginning of her activity, she aims to capitalize on new territories, in order to form musical shows for children. Or, she combines her two great passions – music and children to give birth to new televised formulas: shows, concerts, shows, etc. For almost three decades she will work as a director in the Children’s Broadcasting Department, then in 1990 she will move to the „Telefilm-Chisinau” Studio, creating musical films, concerts, documentaries. The most significant creations from this period are the children’s film Moara( The Mill,1990) based on the script by Iulian Filip and music by Gheorghe Mustea and the documentary When the Toys are Burning(1992).
