There is little doubt that the Innovation Fund has provided significant impetus for the further development of healthcare in recent years. There is also no doubt that there is still significant potential for further development in the way the results and findings are handled. The barriers and success factors for the translation of innovation fund concepts into standard care were therefore discussed at the MSD Health Forum 2024 on 6 November. This article is a commentary with a technical categorisation of the discussion by the authors.
